My Gap Year Plan

For my gap year, I decided to go to the Winterline Global Skills Program. In this is program, 19 students and I will have the opportunity to travel the world for 9 months while learning, hands-based, 100 new life skills, instead of seating in a classroom lecture. We will learn skills from wilderness survival, first aid, marine conservation, scuba diving, and food production, to hotel management, business and financing, and running a restaurant. We will even learn how to do glass sculpturing, build tiny houses and travel solo. We will learn all these skills while traveling to 10 different countries in North America, Central America, Asia and Europe. The countries include:

  • USA

  • Costa Rica

  • Panama

  • Cambodia

  • Thailand

  • India

  • Italy

  • Czech Republic

  • Germany

  • Austria

I will post blogs about my experiences during this gap year program. Make sure to check out my pictures and videos as I travel from mountains to oceans and from rural towns to urban cities. Stay tuned!
